BC's Largest Shoreline Cleanup

The Campbell River Association of Tour Operators is honored to be a part of the Clean Coast, Clean Waters Initiative for the second time. The initiative is funded by the government of Canada and aims to help preserve and protect our marine environment by focusing on cleaning up debris that ends up on our shoreline.

The cleanup provides huge benefits to the ecosystem, marine life, and the community as a whole. We are proud to be able to contribute towards preserving the natural beauty of our coastlines and waters.

Over the next few months, our members are committed to brave the wet and chilly west coast weather as they collect garbage and marine debris across hundreds of kilometers of coastline. This is a huge collective effort that will involve boats, barges, and even helicopters!

Once the debris has been collected, it will be sorted and recycled by Ocean Legacy.
