The Whale Trail

After ‘Drift,’ our life-size driftwood humpback sculpture was created, it really put Campbell River on the map, literally!  Campbell River has now been added to the BC Whale Trail map and is recognized as one of the best places for shore-based whale watching!

The Whale Trail is comprised of over 100 land based sites along the Pacific Coast, from California all the way up to British Columbia.

The Mission

“Our mission is to inspire appreciation and stewardship of orcas, other marine mammals and the marine environment by identifying a network of viewing sites along the whales’ trails through the Salish Sea and along the Pacific Coast.”

-The Whale Trail Project

The Whale Trail Project helps to build awareness for all species of marine mammals, as well as connect people and communities together.
